Palos Verdes Estates, CA – Malaga Cove Library will maintain regular business hours, Monday through Saturday, 10am to 5pm throughout the summer months.  Considering the current budget situation, Palos Verdes Library District (PVLD) will not extend late open hours on Wednesday evenings during the music concerts at Farnham Martin Park.

The Malaga Cove Business and Professional Association which organizes and coordinates the music line-up each Wednesday evening from early July through Labor Day, will provide funding for a (PVLD) maintenance staff person the night of the concerts to enable the public restroom area to be available to concertgoers, but the library itself will not be open.  “Circulation of library materials is very low on concert nights” PVLD Library Director Gould said.  “Keeping the library open during the concerts presents staff scheduling challenges, and in the current budget climate it is not feasible for PVLD to absorb any additional costs.”
