To travel with us . . .
obtain a “passport” application at the Reference Desk at any branch of our library system, beginning June 1.
Then read from our wide selection of “destination” titles (click here and here) or any book you wish. The titles are linked to our catalog, so you can check availability and reserve books or audio books.
For each book read, your passport will be stamped and you’ll receive an entry for a weekly prize drawing. Winners will be notified by phone.
You may also want to participate by picking up one of the “traveling” paperback books— and a peacock bookmark— on display at the Peninsula Center Library, and take a picture of yourself holding the bookmark on vacation.
Or you can participate by taking a photo of yourself reading any book while on vacation, perhaps at a landmark.
Submit your photos to peacocks@pvld.org, along with the names of the book being read, and where you took the photo. Photos will be featured on the Library District’s web site.
