Become a “Knight for a Day” on Feb. 27

Join us for our second annual jousting tournament and claim the title of “Knight for a Day”! All “squires” (boys ages 8-11) and their “lords” (fathers) are invited to learn how young men in the Middle Ages would prepare for knighthood. We’ll learn the rules of courtly conduct and medieval warfare, then take to the “list field” to engage in safe but boisterous combat.

The event takes place Saturday, February 27, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. in the Gallery at the Malaga Cove Library. Although this event is aimed at boys and those special guys in their lives (dads, uncles, grandpas, et al.), all the “ladies fair” (moms, sisters, and friends) are welcome too.
