History Comes Alive in February 28 at the Living History Museum!

The  Third Annual Living History Museum of African American Heroes will take place at the Peninsula Center Library Community Room on Tuesday, February 28, 2010 at 6:00  - 7:30 p.m. Children in grades 1st – 8th grade  will celebrate Black History Month by portraying  African Americans heroes and telling their stories in the museum. People of all ages and backgrounds will enjoy hearing the evening and light refreshments will be served

The Library and its co-sponsors, Delta Sigma Theta, PV Links, and The Black Heritage Association, invite first graders through eighth graders to celebrate Black History Month by portraying their favorite or most inspirational hero.  The Library encourages all interested parties to contact Young Readers Librarian, Laura Henry, at 310-377-9584, ext 206,  to sign up to be a hero and to get help with research, costumes, and presentation.
