For Teens

Three PVLD teens participated in the Best Books for Young Adults (BBYA) session at the American Library Association (ALA) Conference in Anaheim. Beginning in February, the teens read books from the Young Adult Library Service Association (YALSA) 2009 BBYA Nominations List. On June 29, at the ALA Conference in Anaheim, the teens presented reviews of the books to an eager audience of over 250 librarians and publishers. They were also lucky enough to have lunch with 4 wonderful authors: John Green, Jay Asher, Nancy Werlin and Steve Kluger.
